Welcome to Wander with Wojtyla

For many of the same reasons you send your children to Camp Wojtyla, you need to experience it, too!

The following list, although not exhaustive, is what we hope to accomplish in our time together on the mountain:

  • Escape from your daily distractions to experience Creation as intended

  • Find the quiet time needed to rekindle and/or strengthen your relationship with our Lord

  • Challenge your body and mind in healthy ways

  • Surround yourself with other like-minded individuals trying to walk the path to holiness

  • Discover more deeply the mission of Camp Wojtyla

IN JUST THREE SHORT DAYS, WE’LL ATTEMPT TO DO ALL OF THAT!

  • We were blessed to have the opportunity to experience a piece of Camp Wojtyla and had expected a few days in nature to experience a grand adventure, and while we absolutely had all that- it ended up being a very spiritual retreat filled with prayer, connections, and peace. We left fulfilled by the Holy Spirit. Thank. you for a great experience! - 2024 Wander Participant

  • While I've been blessed with many alpine adventures, and have also gotten to experience many different aspects of Camp Wojtyla as a volunteer, Wander With Wojtyla was truly a unique and transformative experience. Pushing myself physically and mentally on the Via Ferrata, in the company of other faithful Catholics with a love of the outdoors, was a beautiful reflection of the challenges we face in our spiritual journey, and of how community can support and uplift in times of trial. The opportunity to experience the goodness, truth, and beauty that Camp Wojtyla offers all summer to middle and high school youth was incredible, and I highly recommend it to parents of campers or counselors, or anyone who is craving the graces that Camp W has managed to capture and multiply. Whether it is mass overlooking incredible mountain vistas, laughter around the camp stove, encouragement while clinging to a rock face 900 feet above the ground, or watching butterflies dance among the trembling aspens, my memories of Wander with Wojtyla embody the words of Pope Saint John Paul II - "Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure!"

Session one:

(Men’s only) June 15-17

Join us as a couple, or solo for an adventure in the Rockies. We’ll get a sneak peek at the goings on around Camp W from afar without impeding on the camper experience. There will be time for adoration, quiet reflection, hiking to beautiful vistas, community time involving tasty camp meals, and an off-site Estes Park climbing adventure. The gear included will be a tent, cot, sleeping bag and dishes. If you feel more comfortable using your own camping gear, that is completely fine. Harnesses and helmets will be provided by our KMAC guides during our Via Ferrata adventure in Estes Park. All other personal gear should be brought by you, and we will provide a list to help you pack.
